Hello. I own a JVC GZ-HD7 camcorder and I would like to know where I can get the following accessories that will work with it for the LOWEST possible price.

35mm adapter

matte box + rod system

Dolly system

Steadicam/glidecam/flycam vest and arm

May not be "LOWEST possible price", but bhphotovideo has most of that – and will certainly provide best possible VALUE from a reputable vendor. Most likely the Glidecam stuff and the Letus DoF adapter that fits that camcorder. And you’ll need 35mm lenses, too.

Personally, I like/own the Kessler crane + tripod system. You don’t need the crane to use the tripod as a dolly. And their dolly system looks as good as the rest of their gear. You can buy from them directly. Or you can use a wagon with inflatable wheels that does not have the wheels fully pumped up (and the camcorder on a tripod in the wagon). Or make your own track (and mating wheel system) and learn from your own mistakes and spend more money than if you had purchased the appropriate stuff to begin with…

I want to get my first camcorder. Ive been looking around and found a few that i like but cant choose between them. I like the Samsung HMX-H200(H203, H204, H205) Full HD Camcorder. Then the JVC ones are GZ-HM300(320, 340, and 550). They all seem like good camcorder but i cant choose which is the best. Ive looked at reviews on amazon.com to help but i need someones opinion. Thanks

Was great little unit for the price,used to work great,stuck in closet for a while(battery disconnected) decided to bring out and play with……charged batt. like any other time,go to use and I am getting
major distortion on LCD,plug in TV..the same,even weirder,it plays recorded tapes just fine…HELP!!!

a lot of jvc camcorders have trouble with there ccd go to jvc website and try support

the camera lens does not seem to open, with a warning at the main screen that the lens cap is still attatched.

Hmmmm. this may be a tricky one.

I fear that with this problem, if you open up the lens assembly you may get tiny specks of dust inside there (which is a frequent problem with D-SLR cameras. Also it may have been packaged in a protective atmosphere to prevent condensation forming on the inside of your lenses (might even be a vacuum).

Anyway, we can’t realy help you without a bit more detail.
does the lens extend out from the camera, and is it two black shutters that close over the lense and open automatically when you switch the camera on?

If so, is any of the mechanism jammed or sticky? Try cleaning it out carefully.

Not much more I can think of unless it is an internal fault, in which case I suppose you should contact the manufacturer for advice/repair.

Is there an accessory (any wind filter) for the jvc camcorder that cuts out the wind noise?

There should be a ‘cut’ or ‘wind cut’ option in the menu somewhere that’ll do it. Other than that it all depends on the model of camcorder you have, if it’s an internal or external mic, and if there’s something at http://www.thewindcutter.com/shop/ that will help.
