Should i buy this camcorder?

Im interested in buying a JVC GZ-HD7 mainly cuz its one of the few hard drive camcorders that doesnt rely soley on the flip out screen for viewing. I read a review that sed it would be a great camcorder despite its flaws except the 1000+ price tag but since they dont make em any more i may be able to get one on ebay for like 200 at most. should i buy this camcorder. Im not trying to be a hardcore filmmaker at the moment but idk if i chud buy it what do u guys think?

If you can buy the camera for $200.00, then that’s a good price. But one major flaw of the camera is that it is a HDD (Hard Disk Drive) camcorder and doesn’t use memory cards. If you were to drop the camera or bump it hard enough, the drive could become damaged and you would loose all your video. HDD cameras consume more battery power too. Just some things to consider.

Li-Ion camcorder battery won’t take a charge?

I have a JVC GR-D270US and a replacement 1400mAh 7.2V Li-Ion battery. It was sitting and not being used for about 6-8 months, and when I connect it to the camcorder and plug the AC adapter into the cam, it will not take a charge

However, the original battery that has been sitting for over a year will take a charge no problem. (However it only lasts for 15 minutes, hence why I bought a replacement.)

The replacement battery is only about 2 years old, and has not been used very much. Is there some way of getting it to take a charge again?

Maybe the charger is damaged. or you should visit the supplier whom you but that camcorder.

How do I put the casette in my JVC Digital Video CAmera?

So, I have a JVR Digital Video Camera GR DV500U – and honestlly I’ve never even owned a video camera; so I just ejected the last casette and put a new one in….but I can’t figure out how to make hte mechanism go back in.
Help please?

Did you read the manual?

If you put the tape in correctly, gently press the tape mechanism and it will close… then close the cover. Don’t just close the cover – you’ll break stuff that way.

I want to take movies from my JVC DV camcorder, burn them to a dvd to view on dvd player, software suggestions?

1) Copy DV files to your PC (it will be large DV AVI files, 1 hour is about 14 GigaBytes)
2) Use Cam Video Tool 4 DVD Flick to encode video (as interlaced)

3) Use DVD Flick Guide to convert your media files to DVD and burn – it is all-in-one tool and free.

JVC Everio GZ-HM200 HD 1080P camcorder sample video UXP Format Stabilizer ON
Filed under: jvc video camera

This is my new toy, the JVC Everio GZ-HM200B using the UXP recording mode “maximum” allowed by this camera. I used a tripod to keep a more steady shot. I see it as a pretty decent camera. Valued at around $500 US, I managed to get this one from eBay for under $300. Leave your own comments and check my other videos using different recording modes.

Sony DCR-SR42 or JVC GZ-MG155?

I am only 12 years old so I dont need this high-tech expensive camcorder to make me happy. I used my grandmother’s digital camera from like 2000 and the video quality that made me happy. I dont know which one to ask for for Christmas: Either the Sony DCR-SR42 or the JVC GZ-MG155. Im am trying to keep the prices as low as possible. But I will chip in an extra $50 to buy a better camcorder. What I’m trying to do is to buy a camcorder under $400 and it still have all the great features. It must have good video quality. I MUST have a hard-drive camcorder. Both of these camocrders are in my budget, have good reviews, and have all the features I want.

So the real question:

Sony DCR-SR42 or JVC GZ-MG155?

I agree that Sony JVC GZ-MG155 has better features. I have found some useful information for you on Sony DCR-SR42 and JVC GZ-MG155. You can compare information from these links- http://www.retrevo.com/s/Sony-DCR-SR300-Camcorders-review-manual/id/1075ci076/t/1-2/

how do you charge a JVC everio?

I just found my old JVC everio camcorder, and i was going to start taking videos and keeping them for home videos. i found it along with the computer cord and AV cord (TV) but im not exactly sure how to charge the it. I tried plugging it in to my computer to see, but nothing lit up. It has a huge battery pack on the back so maybe im supposed to plug that in…?

Camcorder batteries can recharge one of two ways… put the battery in the camcorder and attach the AC power adapter… or use an external battery charger that plugs directly into the wall.

The camcorder model number will be somewhere on the camcorder – got to jvc.com, go to the support area, search for and download the manual.

I am trying to capture video from a JVC digital video camera through Windows Movie Maker.?

I am running Windows XP, and was able to do this with this particular camera on my last system, but now when I click onto "capture video", it does not recognize that I have my camera hooked up. Cables are ok and everything looks good. It just will not recognize my camera. Anyone have any suggestions??

I had similar problem with a sony, turned out I needed to download service pack 2.
